NOTE: The WIU Rotaract Club is currently inactive.
Webber International University (WIU's) Rotaract Club was chartered in April, 2017. Co-sponsoring Rotary Clubs of WIU's Rotaract Club are Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Lake Wales. They have joined the global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world's most pressing challenges.
Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18-30 to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service.
WIU's Rotaract Club's most recent project involves raising money to support Stirring Waters, which is a water park for disabled children and adults at Lake Aurora Christian Camp. Rotaract members worked with members from the sponsoring Rotary Clubs to get sponsors to paddle in the Big Kahuna Paddle Challenge. Sponsors compete against each other in a paddle competition. This year's Big Kahuna Paddle Challenge raised $1,750 for Stirring Waters.
